What happens here matters.
I was born in Seoul, Korea, and raised in North OC. I am a father, small business owner, mayor, and nonprofit founder.
Looking Forward
Born in Seoul, Korea, my family immigrated to the United States when I was 5 years old, and I now serve on Fullerton Mayor while running for the Orange County Board of Supervisors, District 4.
My vision for our diverse families and communities includes implementing policies and making government work better for the people of North OC, with better public safety standards, a strong economy with good jobs, and educational excellence.
Family Values
My family has deep ties to Fullerton and the communities of North OC. Growing up, my parents worked full-time, and I didn't have the opportunity to play youth sports—this inspired me to found the Junior All-American Bears nonprofit in 2008 to give local kids a chance to excel.
I attended Sunny Hills High School, where my children also attended. My son earned a football scholarship and my daughter led the varsity cheer team.
I’ve proudly served as a Sunny Hills High School football coach for many years, and I am honored to have raised my children in the district.
Community Service
I founded the Junior All-American Bears nonprofit, one of the largest and most diverse youth football and cheer organizations in North OC. Under my leadership and through the dedicated efforts of our families, we celebrated five Super Bowl Championships and captured the 2020 Cheer National Championship in our league.
I strive to ensure all children and families have the opportunity to succeed.
